OZEPAINT INSTRUCTIONS FOR:

Silk and Polyester Ribbon.
Rayon and Polyester Lace.

You will need

1. Brushes - narrow and wide
2. Plastic tray or lid
3. Mixing tray (ice cube tray)
4. Measuring spoons
5. Ribbons, lace

Time, creativity and the ability to enjoy yourself!

For painting one colour:

1. Lay the ribbon you wish to dye on the tray/lid.
2. Put a small amount of Ozepaint’ in one section of the ice cube tray.
3. Using a small brush for narrow ribbon or a wide brush for wide ribbon.
4. Start painting on to the ribbon.
5. When you have finished the ribbon it can be left to dry naturally**
6. With a medium warm iron go over the back of the ribbon to heat set it.

If you wish to get an attractive “mottled” look just dab one colour on at a time on the ribbon and finish as above.

Polyester, Rayon, and Poly/Rayon mix lace can be painted using the above instructions.

A different look can be achieved by damping down the ribbon/lace first with water and letting the colours run into each other.

“Ozepaint” colours can be diluted in 2 ways using either water or the White “Ozepaint”.

“Ozepaint” colours are VERY strong so allow yourself a little practice time.

Both Black and Brown “Ozepaint” can be used as toners.

“Ozepaint” Antique can also give a lovely aged’ look if painted over your chosen colours after the ribbon/lace has dried but before heat setting.

** You can also dry with a hairdryer, in a conventional oven heated to approx 100c and turned off. Please do not cook your ribbon.

Care ALWAYS needs to be taken when micro waving lace and ribbon.
